I do not usually post material not my own but I am going to post some favorite videos of Tijuana this next week, beginning with my very favorite. Be sure to watch the last minute, when it changes from the comic fantasy to the realistic tragedy of Tijuana.

See the sea/Mirar el mar

In the last photo the two posts are all that remains of the extension into the ocean of the wall of shame, the wall that divides families with members in Mexico and the USA. In Mexico it is also called the wall of death because it has killed between 4000 and 5000 migrants in the 12 years since it was built. The ocean hates the wall.

Los dos postes en la ultima foto son todos se quedan de la extension en el mar del muro de verguenza dividiendo las familias con familiares en los dos lados. En Mexico tambien se llama la barda de muerte porque ha matado entre 4000 y 5000 migrantes durante los 12 an~os de su existencia. El mar odia a la barda.

First corrida/Primera corrida

Sunday was the first bullfight of the season. Others are scheduled for May 27, July 1, August 5, September 2, and October 7 but the business promises more will be scheduled. (They have to have 10 for Tijuana to remain a 1st class plaza.)

Llego' la primera corrida de la temporada el domingo. Otras son confirmadas para 27 mayo, 1 julio, 5 agosto, 2 setiembre y 7 octubre pero la empresa promete mas. (Tiene que tener 10 para ser una plaza del primer clase.)
