Lynn, My husband, a fellow bookseller, just sent me a link to your blog. I was born in Mexicali BC. I am glad I am not the only one that takes photos of the food during my travels. Just returned from Spain and have photos of almost every meal... and oh yeah, some of the attractions and fellow companions :-) Thanks for sharing the food photos. S Kuenzig
the food looks awesome and you guys look awesome too. i imagine that reading about this place from another country is good for the body and soul as long as you know your taxes aren't going to the militaryindustrialpharmaceuticaldrugcartelhealthinsurancecomplex. do you ever get up here?
Don't know where "up here" is but we need to cross to San Diego quite frequently, farther north, seldom. Seeing family and friends is good, but I'd rather they came south.
I usually forget to take food pictures in the rush to put it in my mouth. But I do love to have them.
I am a bookseller with about 20 years experience, having taken up the trade after retiring as a trial lawyer. I deal exclusively in books on Mexico & bullfighting. I am sole proprietor of my shop in Playas de Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. I am also the list owner for The Bibliophile Mailing List, an email discussion list of book dealers, collectors, librarians, & others interested in the book trade.
My unfulfilled ambitions are first, to play violin with such artistry as to make a Spanish Gypsy cry and second, to survive with grace in the arena with a full grown toro bravo.
