God knows, I'm not one to start casting stones, and it may just be me, but... does that remind anyone else of something that was made out of a box of LEGOs, and then got dropped?
me encanta tijuana. la vida, le gente, la onda. hay una pelĂ que tiene todo eso que se llama tijuana makes me happy. es de la madre, con musica del collectiveo nortec y de lila downs. tijuana numero uno!
I should add that I was not making fun of that house because it was in Tijuana- we have houses like that up here in New England that I make fun of also- it's a matter of taste, but I think that, wherever that house is, it looks like a LEGO project. Most of the pictures Lynn posts of Tijuana are beautiful.
As to architecture, one has to remember there are no building materials here in the desert. Everything is built from concrete block. We have sand, little else. The sand castles are magnificent. I'll try to get more photos of them. (And Tijuana makes me happy is one of my favs as well, along with the Simpson Tijuana episode.) Que padre vivir en Tijuas. Que hongo jomi!
I am a bookseller with about 20 years experience, having taken up the trade after retiring as a trial lawyer. I deal exclusively in books on Mexico & bullfighting. I am sole proprietor of my shop in Playas de Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. I am also the list owner for The Bibliophile Mailing List, an email discussion list of book dealers, collectors, librarians, & others interested in the book trade.
My unfulfilled ambitions are first, to play violin with such artistry as to make a Spanish Gypsy cry and second, to survive with grace in the arena with a full grown toro bravo.
