We have a couple of those dogs on top of a bookcase in our living room. I think we got them in Colima. The dogs were raised for food, in case you didn't know.

Yes, the dogs come from Colima. The critter at the bottom is from Oaxaca, the turtle from Chiapas, and the wooden container from the state of Mexico. One of the things I love about Tijuana is that you can find people, crafts, food, and customs from all over here. One week there will be a Oaxacan fair, the next week a celebration of Sinaloa.

Dogs are eaten in many places, Mexico, Philippines, the United States. I sampled them in South Dakota. At least as young puppies, doggie veal, they are quite tasty.
