Beautiful. but I can't find La Rumorosa on the map? Where is this?

I love the desert and my GF and I are taking a trip and will be driving from Tijuana to Sonoita and stopping in Guadalupe Canyon to camp. I can't wait.

La Rumorosa is officially part of Tecate, I think. It is between Tecate and Mexicali. The colonia or village or whatever it is called La Rumorosa is on top of the mountain and the descent (very steep and spectacular) from there to the desert floor is also called La Rumorosa. It is before Lago Salada, a large dry lake much like the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah.

When will you be coming? I could arrange a stay at the campamiento with the Cucapah in Cucapah Mayor if it is between February and April, assuming you would like to support their fishing rights struggles. (Email me.)
