Shore birds

Here is one of my favorite shore birds. Please tell me its name.

It looks like a sandpiper to me. According to my Larousse, the Spanish name is "aguzanieves."

I think it's either a Long Billed Curlew

Yu can't tel size well from the photos but all the sandpipers I know are smaller than these. We also have long billed curlew on the beach but these don't have the curved bill.

I do believe it is a godwit (what a wonderful name). The map says this beach(Playas de Tijuana) is a winter range for it and we only see them in winter. However, the coloration is a bit different than the photo at Cornell.
