maybe it's just me? but isn't there a problem with having freshmeat out in the open? don't you guys have bugs there?
a) It's on beds of ice.
b) It is expected you'll cook it.
c) The occasional bug is probably better for you than all that plastic.
d)Actually bugs have traditionally been a large part of the diet in Mexico and grasshoppers & ants are sold in large quantities. The grasshoppers fried with chile & vinegar are quite good.
