Saturday we demanded equality, respect & dignity for immigrants in a march sponsored by the students of MEChA. We began in Chicano Park in San Diego & marched through Barrio Logan against HR4437 & for a just immigration reform.
La juventud al pie de lucha.
Youth stand up in struggle.
No more deaths on the border.
No mas muertos en la frontera.
El pueblo en marcha por sus derechos,
The people marching for their rights,
and the community joining in.
y la comunidad responden.
The call is for a general strike and boycott for immigrant rights on May 1, no work, no school, no purchases. Everyone into the streets, peaceful but firm, for a just immigration reform in the USA.
La llamada es para la huelga general y boicot por los derechos de inmigrantes en el 1 de Mayo, no trabajo, no escuela, no compras. Todas y todos en las calles, pacific@s pero firm@s, por la reforma migratoria justa.
